Books for Ghana

Following last year's successful employee 'Books for Ghana' campaign and the launch of the Cadbury Cocoa Partnership earlier this year we are again at Cadbury's collecting books during March suitable for school children. The books which we collect are sent to local Ghanaian schools and in due course will also be sent to the libraries which we are helping to build with the local community.

Last year Cadbury colleagues across the UK collected over 2.6 tonnes of books for school libraries in Ghana.  This is the equivalent weight of a female African bush elephant!

If you would like to get involved and have any books in good condition to donate, that are suitable for 6 to 17 year olds, then please send, or come and drop off your books to:

One of the focus areas of the Cadbury Cocoa Partnership scheme is to invest in community led development. As we previously said, we have been working with the local community to build libraries in Ghana. In time, the books which we collect will not only support local schools but will also support these local libraries.
